The Index web application is a Kosovo “stock exchange” or “price index” for selected products. The web application is expected to serve as a marketplace for businesses that are members of the platform (suppliers) and for regular clients (buyers) that will interact with these suppliers through the platform.

The index will serve to publish wholesale and retail prices for some products of major suppliers. While the buyers or clients of the Suppliers can make requests for offers related to the products of the Suppliers as well as to communicate with each other regarding the sale-purchase of those products.

Depending on the parties involved, roles are created in the web application which is used by active users of the platform. There are three or four roles of application users:

• The visitor, the user who browses to see the data published on the website and who has the right to register and become a customer,
• The client, the user who has the opportunity to request offers for products from suppliers,
• The supplier, the user who has the possibility of publishing the prices of his products as well as sending the offers in the requests of the clients and
• Administrator, the user who administers the web application.
