DVIS - Domestic Violence Information System is web application that is used for registering and tracking the domestic violence victims and perpetrators.

The software has three components or management information system (MIS). Which are:

• Component A: This component includes operations related to keeping track of reported cases victims of domestic violence/survivors of domestic violence (i.e. Kosovo Police report, Victim’s Advocates report, Shelter’s report, prosecutors’ report, etc.)  
• Component B: This component includes operations related to children of survivors of DV (i.e. provision of psycho-social support by CSWs, tracking the accommodation within kindergartens/schools or other institutions, etc.) 
• Component C: This component pertains to tracking system of perpetrators (i.e. the provision of expertise by Mental Health Institutions, Kosovo Police, Prosecutors Office, Courts, etc.)

DVIS is developed based on Standard Operating Procedures drafted by Agency on Gender Equality (AGE) with a support of Women’s Safety and Security Initiative (WSSI Plus)/UNDP.

DVIS achieves the following goals:

• Assessing the prevalence of Domestic Violence
• Assessing the forms and severity of violence and abuse experienced by survivors  
• Understanding the impact of domestic violence on cross cutting issues, such as gender, race, disability, nationality, age, etc.  
• Collect, compare and evaluate the data provided by different stakeholders which deliver services for victims of Domestic Violence, children and perpetrators;  
• Use data on developing and planning institutional budget framework in regard to domestic violence  
• Use data on revising existing legal framework ( if necessary) and draft other institutional policies which will improve the services provided for victims, children and perpetrators  
• Increase the safety measures in regard to victims of DV  
• Helps survivors of DV to disclose their experiences with ONLY one agency ( it depends on which institution the victim will report the case)  
• Identification of survivors most at risk 
• Tracking of survivors case  
• Monitor the effectiveness of each institution on delivering its services to victims of DV as well as perpetrators  
• Sharing information among stakeholder in a way that will hold individual offenders accountable and maintain accountability among various agencies in the criminal justice system
